FOLKLORE
Native to the seaside soils of Mediterranea, rosemary has ancient roots of folklore in Egypt, Northern Africa, Greece, the Roman Empire, and beyond into time. It adorned Aphrodite during her birth from the sea (which makes sense—Aphrodite is a Mediterranean Goddess born on the shores where rosemary grows native). The beautiful blue color of rosemary flowers is said to have come from Mary, when she draped her blue cloak over a bush during her flight to Egypt.
